As interior designers we work in stages, from initial briefing, to concept development and installation.
Initial Meeting On site meeting
The first point of contact, we assess the project, discuss the brief, client expectations and possible outcomes of the project. Here the client needs to be as clear as possible about what they expect from the specific project, so that we have a clear and concise brief in the research and design stage. This is charged at R1000.00 but credited back to the client if the project is approved.
Design & Concept
Design and concept development comprises of coming up with possible solutions for the client brief. This includes space planning, custom designed pieces and interior, sourcing of hard and soft finishes and furniture, samples and presentations to the client.
The conceptual stage will be guided by the brief, client needs and budget. Mood boards (up to five rooms) and product sourcing will be charged at a flat rate of R1800.
Technical auto cad drawings are charge charged at R350 per hour and changes thereafter at an hourly rate of R150 per hour. Custom design technical drawings will cost R350 per design and 15% added to total of manufactured furniture piece price.
Rendered 3D drawings of room or project can be provided as part of the design and planning stage. Cost calculated according to scope of project and number of renders, or per square meter, depending on the project requirements.
As soon as the design stage is completed, technical drawings and detailing will be provided for clients and contractors. progress and installation stage Available on request R2 750 per render. Additional changes will be charged at R150 per hour.
Project management of site
Kojabu interior & lifestyle will oversee and manage installation of all finishes, as well as electrical work, manage contractors and ensure that all deadlines are met.
This is a separate service to the design stage and will be charged according to the scope of the project including travelling expenses and duration. Additional R250 per hour charged for extra site visits & meetings, overseeing installations and deliveries.
At this stage the designed spaces are ready for their fabrics, wallpapers, furniture, accessories, floor coverings etc. A detailed quotation is supplied for the client’s approval prior to the placement of any purchase orders. The installation fee is made up on a 15% percentage basis taken from the total amount of furniture and fittings required.
All delivery charges, postage, telephone, travel and parking included. This is also part of the project management stage but a discount is offered for clients which use our design resources as well.
